| Manufacturing Our technicians at Piedmont Aviation Component Services have the latest
technological equipment to use during the repair and manufacturing of
APU, Propeller, and Landing Gear Components. We use Mastercam for component
modeling. Our CNC machines such as our HAAS VF3 machining center equipped
with a trunion table which allows 4th and 5th axis simultaneous milling
and our HAAS SL-30 Lathe for turning operations. We also have a wide variety
of conventional machine tools from lathes with 20” swing and 80”
bed to a Norton strut grinder with a 120” swing and 180” bed
we can complete projects on time. While having modern reliable equipment
is a necessity to perform a job, it is equally important to have well
trained experienced personnel. We pride ourselves on the years of dedication
our employees have exhibited. We believe this has given us a positive
reputation in the aviation industry.

Plating
In our Plating Facility at Piedmont Aviation Component Services
we are proud to say we have continuously been recognized by Forsyth County
and Winston Salem by receiving Clean Air Awards and being a Conscientious
Industry. We have two Chrome tanks for specification QQ-C-320. For corrosion
prevention and surface preservation we have Cadmium Plating per QQ-P-416,
MIL-STD-870, and MIL-STD-1500. All aluminum components can be protected
by either Anodizing per MIL-A-8625 or Alodine per MIL-C-5541. |

Non-Destructive
Testing
As a part of our repair and overhaul process at Piedmont Aviation Component Services utilizes flouresent penetrant, dye penetrant and magnetic particle inspections to ensure components are free of indications or flaws. We have large capacity tanks seven feet long by thirty two inches wide to accommodate landing gear and other large size components.We also utilize Eddy Current and Ultrasonic Inspection. Shot Peen To augment our repair operations at Piedmont Aviation Component Services
we have Shot Peen capabilities to several industry recognized standards.
We currently use AMS 2430, AMS 2431, and AMS S-13165 standards to prep
components for Plating Processes or stress relief during our component
repair processes.
